Windsor Windows & Doors today announced the company has reached a settlement of litigation involving Pinnacle and Legend windows.
“Our preference would have been to resolve these issues directly with the homeowners,” said Mark Rieser, Windsor Windows & Doors President. “The legal process is lengthy and distracting. Therefore, we believe a settlement was in the best interest of our employees, distributors and the company moving forward. It also allows us to focus on what we do best – providing quality windows and doors to customers around the country.”
The settlement, which does not admit or assign any wrongdoing, involves 10 cases from seven states, and products manufactured from January 1, 2000 to January 5, 2018. During that time, Windsor Windows & Doors supplied windows for more than 185,000 homes. Also during that time, over 99.5 percent of homeowners have not reported any service or warranty issues with their Pinnacle or Legend windows, meaning those asserting these claims in the original litigation are members of a very small minority.
Windsor Windows & Doors has a proud history of consistency, stability and growth. The company has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and has crafted quality windows and doors for more than 70 years.
